Engine Oil Recycling FAQs

How does an engine oil recycling machine work?

Veera machines use molecular distillation at constant atmospheric pressure. The used oil is heated electrically, distilled with a proprietary catalyst, cooled, separated from water and finally filtered, giving clean diesel (LDO).

What do I get from recycling used engine oil?

Lite diesel oil (LDO). The catalog states a yield range of 80–85%, and the uncondensed gas can be used for gas generation or any heating application.

Which waste oils can the machine process?

Used engine oil, hydraulic oil, gearbox oil, and oils from tyre pyrolysis and plastic waste pyrolysis.

How much does an engine oil recycling machine cost?

Batch models range from $4,900 (MD50 SC) to $11,500 (MD200 SC). Continuous models are $10,200 (MD50 C), $21,000 (MD120 C), $26,500 (MD200 C) and $36,000 (MD300 C). Prices are ex-works.

How much diesel does it produce per day?

Batch models run up to 3 batches a day (for example 42 L per batch on the MD50 SC). Continuous models produce 500–600 L a day (MD50 C) up to 3,500–3,800 L a day (MD300 C).

Do I need to buy catalysts?

A proprietary catalyst is included. Catalysts A and B are permanent and reusable; catalyst C is the final filtration catalyst, used at 1.2–1.5%.
